Slave Cemetery in Texas

Hello wonderful readers! Did any of you happen to see the story out of Texas about the slave cemetery that was revealed by the horrible drought they are having down there? As I read the story I felt some kind of way about the jaw bone that they found and started wondering who belonged to that jaw and what stories have come out of that mouth. The folks down in Navarro County may feel like “it’s not one of the great finds of history,” but I think it’s a great find for the history of slavery. There are many slave cemeteries around the country that are overgrown and forgotten about that any time just one has been found, it is a great find. If you haven’t read the story, check it out here.
